I'm using Adguard for DNS filtering nowadays, so I don't need to filter them myself anymore. But I was happy to add another layer with Privoxy. Network level ad-blocking like Privoxy and pi-hole have so many downsides like they can't handle inline adverts. My pi4 pi-hole is unplugged right now. Privoxy doesn't need to intercept DNS commands, because it intercepts the URL being requested well before the stage where the DNS request is required or issued.

I wonder if there's any potential for this running on mobile? Turning on the relay proxies your connection and your local network's DNS server will not be used. Can you not do this with AdGuard? Yeah - I usually watch the network tab in debugging tools to figure out whats being blocked, then whitelist and try again. Odd - I have a pi-hole on my home network and never hit the issue with YouTube.
